Trivandrum DCA extended their winning streak to four matches in the NSK Trophy state Championship 2024, defeating Wayanad DCA by a convincing 73 runs. This dominant win not only showcased TDCA’s impressive form but also secured their spot in the semi-finals.
The TDCA team put on a masterclass performance, dominating their opponents in every aspect of the game. After setting a formidable target of 211, the team’s bowlers stifled Wayanad DCA to 137, with Rahul Chandran leading the charge with a devastating 3/22. His spell proved decisive, showcasing the team’s exceptional skill and teamwork.
Earlier, Akshay Shiv (60 in 44) and skipper Krishnaprasad (35 in 28) laid the foundation with a solid opening partnership, paving the way for a perfect start. Abhijith Praveen (26 in 13), Bharath Surya (33 in 11), and Devan (26 in 11) then unleashed a batting onslaught, decimating the opposition’s bowling attack and registering the highest total of the tournament. Akshay Shiv’s impressive knock earned him the well-deserved Player of the Match award.
